My 2nd time to visit Guangzhou since August 2008 for work.
Since my depart flight at 6am, i slept only 2 hours from 1am. I used to lay my body on bed at 1am everyday. I just cant force myself to sleep at 9pm. Is my fixed body clock. Wake up at 3am, go to next room and wake up my friend to bring me to LCCT, Sepang. Hehe, he seem sleepy.
Happily i waved goodbye to my friend and check in. Rules #1, always check in on time. I missed a flight to Jakarta on company working trip with a client. Luckily, there an angel paid the next flight. I make a small bluff to my boss that flight been delayed but the secret dont last long. They know about it anyway. So dont lie, be honest because it wont last. Haha..

Sleepy and anxiously waiting for the plane, finally i boarded the plane. Immediately, i ….sleeping time. Nothing can be done on plane. So boring, seated in a tight place like sardines. Have to say excuse everytime i need to leave my seat. I really hate when the plane starts to shake and macho captain announced that there’s a thunderstorm, this makes me worried after watching too much documentary movies on plane crashed. This makes my balls become smaller.
Luckily nothing happens to the plane, i continue my journey to wonderland, sleeping. Then an announcement saying the plane turning back to LCCT after flying for 2 hours. WTF!!!!…damn it again. Sometimes i wonder what so difficult to reach Guangzhou? Maybe i will swims next time. The only bad thing is someone been waiting for me at the Bai Yun airport. Poor my dear Mosi. Back to Malaysia again. Waiting and join the crowds scolding the Airasia staff for cant answering the questions on when is the next flight.
Outside the hotel
Touch down! I reached Guangzhou finally. So tired, i need to put my luggage. First thing is to check in hotel. This hotel is cheap, just RMB100, almost RM50 a night. Quite cozy bed, hot shower, air-conditioned and have TV. Not bad. Is near Guangzhou Foreign Studies University. That’s where my Mosi is studying.
A lady waiting for someone. Is cold that time, maybe 23C. I know, i know is cold for me. I’m from everyday hot country and that’s cold.

We took a ferry ride to cross to the other side and it cost RMB1. Is a wide river and it saves us a lot of time instead using road to reach our destination.
I feels like taking a ferry ride at Penang. Just the water colour is different.
Do you know why Guangzhou is called Goat city? Once upon a time five celestial beings in colorful robes were riding through the air on the backs of five flying male goats. Each goat carried in his mouth a stem of rice to guarantee that the place they chose to land would ever be free from famine. Finding a spot to their liking with sub-tropical climate combined with a rich delta land and a long coastline, they landed and named the spot Goat City.
The boarding pier. I have a story to tell here. We missed the boat cruise that we booked earlier, thinking we might need to pay again or at least get a smack from ticket counter staff but surprisely, they just replaced it for next boat cruise trip an hour later with a little smack.
Nice service and polite. I wonder this could happen in my country? Could be with a heavy smack.
At night, we have another ride on water but on a boat cruise. Is called Pearl River Boat Cruise. Pearl River flows through Guangzhou, almost famous landmark located by Pearl River’s bank, such as TV Tower, expensive and luxury condominiums and it looks beautiful at night with all the building neon lighting. Some even put neon lighting advertisement along Pearl River. The ride almost an hour. And is very cold at night. Shivering while hugging my Mosi. Is a good thing to bring someone along…..
